Four years imprisonment for the former president of IAAF

A French court today convicted the former president of the Senegalese International Federation of Athletics Lamine Diak, accused of covering up the scandal of systematic Russian activism, and sentenced him to four years in prison, including two years suspended.

Diak, 87, who dominated the International Federation between 1999 and 2015, was fined 500,000 euros (about $ 600,000), and has the right to appeal the decision.
