Rafael Nadal has not competed on the tour since March but seems to have had a successful training period.

After standing over the US Open, the Spaniard made a comeback today during the gravel tournament in Rome.

He was up against compatriot Pablo Carreno Busta, who as recently as last week played the semifinals of the US Open, and it was a real overrun.

The 34-year-old won in two straight sets, 6-1, 6-1 and lost only two paper clips, while he made the process short with Carreno Busta.

The match was over after 74 minutes.
