"Alvaro Gonzalez is not racist".

The day after its historic victory at the Parc des Princes (0-1), Olympique de Marseille wanted to defend Alvaro Gonzalez, accused of racism by Neymar.

"Alvaro Gonzalez is not racist, he demonstrated it to us by his daily behavior since his arrival at the club, as his teammates have already testified", writes the club in a press release.

Without formally denying the accusations of racism, Olympique de Marseille explains that it is "at the disposal of the disciplinary commission to fully cooperate in the investigation of all the events that have marked this meeting, and the 24 hours that have preceded ”.

The club condemns "the dissemination of the private telephone numbers of Alvaro Gonzalez and his relatives last night on Brazilian media and social networks, giving rise since to constant harassment, consisting in particular of death threats".

The disciplinary committee will decide this Wednesday on the sanctions of players who have received a red card: Neymar, Kurzawa and Paredes on the Paris side, Benedetto and Amavi on the Olympian side.

She could also open an investigation into Neymar's accusations of racism against Alvaro Gonzalez.

But Monday evening the broadcaster of the match, Téléfoot the chain, explained that he had not noted any image, or sound, that could attest to Neymar's accusations.

He also tried to calm things down this Wednesday morning, while maintaining his accusations.
