In March, the alleged fraudulent recruitment of the Korea Curling Federation reported by SBS was revealed.

On the 14th, the Korea Sports Association delivered the results of the audit to the Curling Federation and said, "As a long-time acquaintance of Vice Chairman A, cancel the decision to pass Mr. B, who was inappropriately hired, and punish Vice Chairman A who led this."

In addition, we have decided to file a complaint with the police on charges of obstruction of work by force, including former chairman Kim Jae-hong, who is responsible for the hiring process.

The process was'full of negatives' from announcement to hiring.

In August of last year, the Federation suddenly added a clause giving bonus points to'accredited brokers', with an announcement that it hired one senior executive one month after leaving the management organization.

This is a provision that has not been seen in the notice of sports organizations so far.

Suspicion of'Illegal Employment' of the Curling Federation>

A

suspicion

was

raised that

Vice-Chairman A gave preferential treatment to his hometown junior Mr. B (who holds a license as a certified broker), who was working with the new executive at the time.

At the time, Vice-Chairman A explained to SBS that "It was not a preference for a specific person, but a comprehensive meaning for contract-related business workers", but the Sports Association said, "There was no provision for preferential treatment for official brokerages in the original announcement. Mr. Edon B used his laptop to send emails directly to the practitioners.”

In this way, while Mr. B received additional points, the results of the document screening were unfairly processed.

Candidates with better document screening scores than Mr. B were rejected (see table below),

There were also two dropouts with higher scores than the other two candidates who passed the paper screening with Mr. B (see table below).

Even in the interview, the preferential treatment for Mr. B continued.

Former Chairman Kim Jae-hong, who had been conducting the hiring process without complying with the regulations such as the HR Committee, damaged fairness by blatantly praising Mr. B to the interview judges prior to scoring.

Chairman Kim mentioned the name of Mr. B, who was an elder among the applicants, and exclaimed, "It would be better if he was a little steadfast. Mr. B seems to have prepared a lot in advance. He knows the exact contents."

On the other hand, for the other candidates, he said, "A graduate of the sports college is an advantage, but it is a major that is not directly related to curling." He said, "The last young person is looking for a job, but it doesn't seem like our alliance yet."

Mr. B, who was named as the final successful candidate, was finally appointed without the '3-month probationary period and self-evaluation' specified in the regulations.

Now, the federation has to open the HR Committee and the Sports Fair Committee to comply with the request for disposition of the athletic meeting, but the executive department that is responsible for taking this action is still adrift.

Chairman Kim Jae-hong suddenly resigned in April when the audit was under way, saying, "We have achieved a minimum normalization."

It was only 8 months after taking office as chairman.

Three months later, Vice Chairman Yoo Young-tae also voluntarily resigned from his role as an agency, and Vice Chairman Kim Koo-hoe is currently acting as chairman.

The results of this audit also revealed that the Federation had illegally used government subsidies while playing the Korea Curling League and that there were human rights violations, such as harassment of the underwriting committee in the workplace.

The Sports Association redeemed the improperly executed national sports promotion subsidy of 13,566,650 won, and demanded additional severe disciplinary action against Vice Chairman A, who was in charge of working.

In addition, we decided to ask a law enforcement agency to investigate the person concerned for violating the subsidy management law.

In response to the fact that the underwriting committee member made abusive words and swear words, and used his position to harass employees, the agency took measures.
