David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig wrote history in France two weeks ago.

The duo took Sweden's first World Tour victory in beach volleyball.

SVT Sport recently met the duo, who had their sights set on this weekend's U20 European Championships in the Czech Republic.

- If we play at our highest level, we have very good chances to take it home, Åhman said.

It was a successful weekend for the super talents.

They won the final against Germany's Lorenz and Pfretzschner by 21-13 and 21-17.

- A wonderful feeling!

Incredibly nice when the last ball went in, they say to volleyboll.se.

Did not lose a single set

Åhman and Hellvig played a total of seven matches in the U20 European Championships.

The duo did not lose a single set.

- That's right!

21-18 was the closest we came to a set loss.

Even though we did not play at our highest level in every match, we have been able to rely on our stable basic game throughout the tournament, says David.

In a week and a half, the duo will play the U22 European Championships in Turkey.

On the women's side in the U20 European Championships, it ended with a round of 16 final for Filippa Brink and Isabelle Reffel.

They went out after losing to Italian duo Bianchi and Ditta.
