China News Service, Yiyang, September 13 (Tang Xiaoqing, Xiong Xing) "2020 Fish-Shaped Lake Paddle Board Invitational Tournament" kicked off on the 13th at the Sifang Mountain Scenic Spot, Fish-Shaped Lake, Heshan District, Yiyang, Hunan, 536 from 21 provinces, cities (districts) in China Professional players and amateur players slashed the waves together and shared a feast of paddle board sports.
The theme of this competition is "Youth, benefiting fish and enjoying endless happiness", integrating professional events and national fitness, and benchmarking the industry's first-class standards, aiming to create a far-reaching water event feast and create a highland of paddleboarding in Hunan.
According to the organizer, this is currently the largest paddleboard event in China, and it is also the first national paddleboard invitational tournament held in Hunan.
Among the participating athletes, Hunan has the most players, with 304 people, accounting for half of the country.
Guangdong has 93 players, which is the province with the most players outside of Hunan.
There are no shortage of top paddleboard players in all competitions.

Paddle boarding is one of the most popular and trendy water sports nowadays. With only one water ski and one paddle, the athletes can ride the wind and waves between the rivers, lakes and the sea.
2017 is the first year of China's paddleboard development, and the China Paddleboard Golden League was successfully held.
In 2019, the World Paddleboard Championship settled in Qingdao, which is the highest level international paddleboard event held in China.
A person in charge of the organizing committee said that the fish-shaped lake has a wide surface, rippling blue waves, and a high content of negative oxygen ions in the air, which has the inherent advantages of hosting the competition.
The fish-shaped lake paddle board competition demonstrated the perfect combination of lake and paddle board, bringing a refreshing feast of water sports and creating a new situation in the development of water sports in Hunan.
The holding of the contest is of positive significance for enhancing the image and reputation of Yiyang, promoting the development of Yiyang's cultural tourism economy, creating a new situation in the development of Hunan water sports, and promoting the deep integration of Hunan's "sports + tourism" industry.

The total prize pool of the competition is 100,000 yuan, with 6 kilometers long distance races, 200 meters straight track races, and hydrophilic entertainment competitions.
After fierce competition, domestic paddleboard star Jiang Lei won the men's open championship of the 6km long distance race with a score of 36 minutes and 10 seconds.
The women's open group champion of the 6km long distance race was won by Wang Hongmei with a score of 45 minutes and 26 seconds.
