The death of former Iraqi football star Nazem Shaker due to the Corona virus

Yesterday, the Iraqi football and Air Force Club star, former international Nazem Shaker, passed away to the Supreme Comrade, succumbed to his infection with the Coronavirus Covid-19, which he had contracted about six weeks ago, to die in a hospital in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Nazem Shaker previously represented the Lions of Mesopotamia in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, and also participated in several Gulf Cup tournaments.

He was one of the stars of Arab football before moving to train the Iraqi national team in previous years, to organize this for a constellation of Iraqi sports stars who moved to the mercy of God due to the Corona virus, including the national team players Ahmed Radi, Faleh Odeh, Ali Hadi, and other athletes.

Former president of the Iraqi Football Association, Hussein Saeed, his former teammate with the national team, mourned a tweet in which he wrote, "We lost a sporting mission that we are proud of. Our condolences to his family, the people of Iraq and the Arab world."
