The Election Committee of the Swimming Union, headed by Muhammad Al-Amiri, has set next October 21 as the date for holding the elections for the new session 2020-2024, provided that the door for candidacy will be opened next Thursday, and it will continue for a period of 10 days, to receive the forms for clubs wishing to run for elections, provided that Tomorrow the club will be invited to inform them of the election schedule.

The General Assembly of the Swimming Federation had decided to assign the election commission to determine the schedule for the elections in line with the statute, on which amendments were finally approved.

The spokesperson for the Elections Commission, Legal Counsel Hassan Marzouki, confirmed in a press statement that the committee during the first meeting distributed the positions, as the committee was chaired by Muhammad Al-Amiri, Muhammad Kahour Al-Hammadi as Vice-President, and the membership of Counselor Hassan Al-Marzouki, Legal Adviser Yusef Ahmed, and Legal Adviser Hamdan Al-Zeyoudi .

Counselor Hassan Marzouki said: “It has been decided that the invitation to the clubs will be sent tomorrow, provided that the door for candidacy will be opened next Thursday, and that it will close on Sunday, September 27 at 12 noon, and the initial list of candidates will be issued on the seventh of October, and the next day will be opened. The door for appeals, and it will last for four days. The door for appeals will close on October 12th, the decision of the Appeals Committee will be issued on October 15th, and the final list of candidates will be issued on October 18th.

Al-Marzouki added, "The elections will be on October 21st, provided that the door for appeals against the elections will open on October 22 and close on October 26, and the decisions of the Appeals Committee will be on October 28, and next October 29 will be the approval of the Board of Directors and the election result."
