Nippon Professional Baseball, Nippon-Ham Fighters, announced that Yuji Iiyama's 1st Army infield defense coach has been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.

All players, including those who are on an expedition to Sendai for a match with Rakuten, will undergo a PCR test.

According to Nippon-Ham, coach Iiyama stopped entering the bench and was isolated in the dormitory because he reported that his family had fever before the match with Rakuten in Sendai on the 11th.

As a result of undergoing a PCR test, infection was confirmed on the evening of the 12th.

It means that coach Iiyama has no symptoms.

On the other hand, the family test result was negative.

Also, although no one is complaining about the symptoms of Nippon-Ham fighters and staff who are on an expedition to Sendai, all of them will undergo a PCR test.

The public health center identifies the close contacts from the behavior history of coach Iiyama.
