Today is the premiere in SDHL.

A prestigious meeting awaits in Gävle when Brynäs receives Leksand.

- Glad it's starting.

The first weeks of the series are always special, when we get to see where all the teams stand, says Erika Grahm who signed on both as sports director and player.

- I'm part of the gang on the ice, but it was not obvious after last season.

On the other hand, I felt during the bare ground training that it was fun, that I wanted more.

Brynäs has a mental advantage

In the meeting with Leksand, Brynäs are big favorites.

The teams met twice under the curtains and the Gävle team won both, 10-0 and 3-2.

- We have a good view of Leksand.

For Leksand, it is important to take points out of pure will, a lot of prestige is at stake in the classic club meeting.

Brynäs has for a couple of years made a major investment in SDHL and the last two seasons it has resulted in quarter finals and semifinals.

This year, the goal is higher than that:

- We go for the club's first gold in SDHL, it would be fun, says Grahm.

- We have a better defensive last year and are humble before the task.

It looks good.

But it is far to March when it is decided.

Grahm and success chain

Erika Grahm is expected to play in a successful chain that was tested already at the end of last season, together with Lara Stalder, Switzerland, and Katerina Mrazova, Czech Republic.

HV71 and Luleå dominated the series last year, but Brynäs sees themselves as their main challenger.

- It is we, Luleå and HV71 who have the widest troops.

But it is more than just the name of a paper that should work, we have a team with good and exciting players both on and off the ice.

The first receipt for that may come already on Saturday, when the match is broadcast on SVT1.

- It will be fun to show what we have in SVT, says Erika Grahm.
