Brynäs is one of the pre-favorites for the SDHL gold - and already in the premiere Leksand the team showed that there is reason for that favorite.

- They show an enormous joy of playing.

You show that you have the lead and a lot of leadership qualities in the team.

All in all, Brynäs should probably have the favorite stamp.

They will be fighting for the gold in the end.

I am completely convinced of that, says SVT Sports expert Maria Rooth.

The sports director acknowledged

But it did not start as well.

Brynäs owned much of the game in the first period, but it was Leksand who took the lead.

In boxplay, Dominique Rüegg took advantage of a return and sent in 0-1.

But the home team did not lose control, and in the end the dividend also came.

And it was the foreign new acquisitions that showed the way.

Playing sports director Erika Grahm equalized after bumping into Katerina Mrazova's fine performance.

And just over a minute before the first period break, the lead goal signed by North American import Jaycee Gebhard also came.

Decided in the middle period

If Brynäs had to wait for a dividend in the first period, it took just over a minute before they found the goal in the middle period.

Josefin Bouveng, who was actually going to play college hockey this winter, placed third for Brynäs.

And just over three minutes later also came 4-1.

Back Maja Nylén-Persson stepped past her player and shot a well-placed shot high up behind Lekandskeepern Amanda Johansson.

Before the second period break, Brynäs had reached a clear 6-1.

Among other things after a fine solo performance by the Austrian star Anna Meixner.

The formation with Bouveng, Denisa Krizova and Jaycee Gebhard was sharp forward in Brynäs.

Leksand had it tough and shot only three shots on goal in the second period.

- It works really well, we have good games in training and found each other from the start.

It's fun that we get to it out here too, says Josefine Bouveng to SVT Sport.

The third period barely had time to start before Katerina Mrazova made it 7-1 and the match was of course decided a long time ago.

Leksand had to end the goal party in Gävle when they reduced to 7-2 through Wilma Johansson.
