Al-Nassr faces a real threat in the next edition of the Arab Gulf League, in the event that the "Brigadier" does not win the title, as the absence of "Blue" will continue to be crowned with the league shield for the 35th consecutive year, since winning the title in 1986, which means that it will officially equal the absence of Al-Jazira Club About winning the title, since the founding of "Abu Dhabi Pride" in 1974, who won the title after 35 years in 2011, and the "Brigadier" may be called upon in the 2021-2022 season to achieve the title so as not to be singled out by the negative record.

Al-Nasr is the oldest club in the UAE in 1945, and yet it won the league title for the first time in its history after 34 years, when it won the Shield in 1978, while Al-Jazira is the most awaited team in the history of the league to win the title since the club was founded in 1974, and that was in 2011.

On the other hand, Al-Wehda is tied with Al-Nasr in second place for most of the clubs waiting to win the league title since the year of its foundation, as Al-Annabi achieved its first titles in 1999 after 33 years of its founding in 1966. On his part, Al Wasl comes fourth, after winning the league title for the first time. In its history in 1982, after 22 years of establishing the "Emperor" in 1960.

As for the historical champion of the league (Al Ain), he has 13 titles in his balance, and won his first title in 1977, nine years after its establishment in 1968, while Sharjah won the title for the first time in 1974, eight years after the club was founded in 1966, while Shabab Al Ahly Founded in 1958, it achieved its first titles, after 17 years in 1975.

And at the level of the most absent teams between one title and another in the history of the league, Al-Nasr tops the list of not being crowned since 1986, while Al-Ahly Youth comes second, in its absence from the 26-year-old title from 1980 to 2005, for its part, Sharjah ended its negative record after winning the league title in Season 2018-2019, after an absence of 23 years since winning the Shield in 1996.

For its part, Al Wasl team is seeking to break its worst negative record in its history, after it missed the league title for 13 years so far, since it last won the title during the 2007 season, and the same applies to Al-Wehda, who did not achieve the title for 10 years, after winning. Shield in 2010.

The worst record for Al Ain is his absence from crowning the title for eight years between 1984 and 1992, and although Al Jazeera won his first titles 35 years after its establishment, "Abu Dhabi's pride" is the least absent from being crowned in terms of the number of years between two titles. In 2011, while the second happened six years later in 2017.

The former football director at Al-Nasr Club, Khaled Obeid, said that the "general" is facing a difficult challenge in the new season, to stop the historical negative figure, pointing out that the current indicators do not help the team to achieve the title in the new season.

He assured «Emirates Today»: The club has not yet decided the identity of the fourth foreigner, and the contracts do not adequately support the team, despite the hiring of the star Sebastian Tigali from Al-Wahda and the inclusion of Mohamed Fawzy from the island.

He added: "The team includes a good group of players, but it lacks names that compensate for any absence of the main players throughout the season, as competition in the league title requires a large number of players, not relying solely on 11 players."

He continued: “I see that Shabab Al-Ahly owns a large group of players that gives them the advantage in the starting line-up and the substitute seats, and it comes to the presence of excellent players in the stands outside the list of every match the team plays, while I see that Al Wasl made good deals that will make the team better in the new season. ».
