At the end of June came the government's corona crisis package.

Of SEK 76 million, SEK 72.9 million went to the men.

The ladies received about four percent of the crisis money.

The clubs in damallsvenskan are struggling with finances.

Växjö DFF is one of the clubs that has it extra tough.

This winter, there will be a new crisis package that will cover quarters three and four in 2020. The women's clubs do not want the distribution to be the same then.

"A big disappointment"

Three clubs in the damallsvenskan - Eskilstuna United, Kif Örebro, Linköping - have written an open letter to the Swedish Sports Confederation (RF), the Swedish Football Association (SvFF) and the Minister of Sports Amanda Lind.

Aftonbladet has had access to the letter and has published it.

"You remember: just in time for the midsummer celebrations, the news came about the distribution of the Government's first crisis support to elite sports, and the interpretation was clear: the girls remained on the sidelines.

The distribution was about 96/4 to the boys' advantage.

As you understand, this was a great disappointment ",

it says in the letter.

[…] “The football year 2020 will go down in history as one of the most remarkable in modern times.

You are involved in writing the story.

We can all show together that we cared.

Do not leave our football-playing girls in the lurch - this time the distribution must not be 96/4 again! ”.
