18-year-old Sora Shirai, who is aiming to win a medal in the new competition of the Tokyo Olympics, skateboarding, spoke about his enthusiasm for the Tokyo Games for the first time after recovering from the injury he suffered more than half a year ago. ..

Shirai is 18 years old who graduated from high school this spring.

On the 11th, we showed off how to skate at the local skateboarding ground in Sagamihara City.

Shirai has shown rapid growth, such as winning his first international tournament last November, on an event street where he competes for the difficulty of his skills on a course that looks like a city, and is ranked 4th in the world ranking.

However, in February, when I was aiming to participate in the Olympics, I was injured by tearing the anterior cruciate ligament of my left knee while shooting a skateboard.

It is said that he gave up his participation in the Olympics, but he decided to have surgery because the Tokyo Games were postponed, and after rehabilitation, he resumed skateboarding a few days ago.

On the 11th, Shirai jumped with a relaxed expression, got on the table and turned the board, and checked his condition after returning with some tricks.

Shirai said with a smile, "I still enjoy skateboarding, and I felt that I had only this. I'm happy that I can do about 60% of what I used to do."

On top of that, he was enthusiastic, saying, "The first goal is to heal 100% of the injuries, improve the level without rushing, and win the Olympics."
