Vettel, 33, is due to leave Ferrari at the end of the year after his contract was not renewed.

"Sebastian's signing is a clear signal of the team's ambitions to become one of the most serious competitors in the discipline," said Racing Point, which is due to take the name of Aston Martin next year.
