The Paris prosecutor's office opens an investigation for rape and sexual assault

An investigation was opened for "rape" and "sexual assault" by a person having authority over a minor, after a report from the General Inspectorate of the Ministry of Sports unveiled in August and implicating about twenty skating coaches.

This investigation, opened on September 4 and entrusted to the Brigade for the protection of minors, aims to "identify and locate potential victims and determine the competent prosecutors" in France for each case, said the Paris prosecutor's office, which had already opened in February an investigation after the accusations of ex-skater Sarah Abitbol against her ex-trainer Gilles Beyer.
