Basketball Association postpones the return of the league's activity for a week

The Secretary-General of the Basketball Association, Salem Al-Mutawa, revealed that the Football Association decided to postpone the completion of the men's league competitions for the 2019-2020 season, until next Friday evening, instead of holding it tomorrow with a single meeting between Al-Bataih and its host Al Wasl in the quarter-final second leg of the competition.

Al-Mutawa told Al-Emarat Al-Youm: The postponement decision was taken, in response to a recommendation from the National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority, so that tomorrow’s match that was scheduled at Al Wasl Hall would be postponed. “The Basketball Federation is keen to take all measures and procedures that guarantee safety for all,” Al-Mutawa said. Especially since the federation circulated last Tuesday all the requirements that must be met in the matches, whether for the host team or the guest, and linking the participation of all crews, including players, technicians, administrators, and all who are on the hall, to undergo virus tests and ensure that the infection is free.

It is reported that the Basketball League has been suspended for six months due to the precautionary measures related to fighting the Corona virus.

The match between Al Wasl and Al Bataih was supposed to be the first official match of the league since the suspension
