The
Superior Sports Council
(CSD) has reached an agreement in principle on Wednesday night with the
Autonomous Communities
(CCAA), the
Sports Federations
, the
Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces
(FEMP), the
Spanish Olympic and Paralympic Committee
( COE and CPE) and the organizers of competitions, to guarantee the return of non-professional competitions at a state level, such as futsal or women's football, thanks to a
health protocol
.
After two weeks of negotiations and the
CSD
having ruled out a return to competition without said protocol, the body chaired by
Irene Lozano
has confirmed to Europa Press an agreement with all parties with commitments on capacity and on the "procedure to continue to incorporate sanitary criteria regarding COVID-19 detection tests ".
The CSD has explained that "
the complete text has been agreed upon
" and highlights the satisfaction of the platform created for the return of national competitions for the "effort made" and for the "result achieved", which offers "
security to the sector of sport in Spain
".
The platform highlights that it is a "historic agreement due to its scope and dimension and for all the actors and institutions that have been involved."
In addition, it considers that its relevance is "
even greater based on the unprecedented
and especially negative situation caused by the pandemic."
