Halmstad won at Stora Valla in the last round with 2-0.

This time it was Degerfors who took a comfortable three-pointer.

The visitors took the lead directly in the game and William Dahlström was able to make it 1-0 from close range in the 34th minute after a perfect input from Erik Lindell.

In the 58th minute, Dahlström struck again, again from close range and then Johan Bertilsson played forward.

It was Dahlström's third match of the season as a two - goal shooter.

Bertilsson then made it 3-0 before Halmstad could reduce the penalty (Rasmus Wiedesheim-Paul) before José Segura Bonilla determined the final result.

Halmstad and goalkeeper Malkolm Nilsson Säfqvist had kept a clean sheet in five of their last six matches and only conceded eight goals in the first 15 matches.

Now Degerfors created chances in games and minutes.

- In the last match we became too passive and now we talked about putting pressure on them immediately.

It is a great achievement and a good victory, Johan Bertilsson told Dplay.

Degerfors led the series already before the match, but only on goal difference, and is now three points ahead of Halmstad who in turn has a two point lead to third Jönköpings Södra in qualifying.
