There is a gap in the stands in the US Open tennis, but already for the next grand slam tournament in just under three weeks, the audience will be admitted.

However, it will be in limited numbers.

A maximum of 11,500 spectators can watch the French Championships, which are played from September 27 to October 11, per day.

The organizer had hoped for 20,000 per day, now it will be 11,500 and only on the three largest courses.

The center court, Philippe Chatrier, and the second largest court, Suzanne Lenglen, will receive 5,000 spectators each, while the third major court in the Roland Garros area will receive 1,500. On other courts in Paris, it will be audience-free.
