Tidemand, who last won in Mexico and is third in the championship, has throughout the weekend been in the top five in the class in the battle for a podium place.

Before Sunday's six final distances, he had just over 12 seconds up to the Frenchman Fourmaux in third place.

The plan was to attack really from the start during the final distances, but Tidemand and Barth had problems with the turbo early on and lost time.

Despite that, they kept their fourth place in the overall, strong and stable driving which then generated advancement in the results list.

For Nikolay Gryazin, who guarded his second place over the weekend, got into trouble on the last leg and lost over two and a half minutes - thus he crashed to a fifth place.

Fourmaux took second place and Pontus Tidemand took third place.

- The stool is always the main goal and this time it felt dark.

At the same time, you know that you should never give up without fighting, because anything can happen and it is not over until the finish line has been crossed.

It was sad not to be able to push as we wanted today, but I can still be happy with the competition, says Tidemand in a press release.

Mads Östberg won the class and thus extended his lead in the championship.

- A stable effort by Pontus!

A little speed is needed to reach the top with Östberg in the lead, but at the same time we must remember that the cars in front invest heavily in more or less factory investments and develop the cars continuously.

The Skoda that Pontus drives for now does not have the same factory investment as before, there is an explanation.

The next competition, which is tough Turkey, suits Pontus well and a victory there is probably necessary to be able to challenge for the championship title, says Jonas Kruse.
