BC Luleå, which finished second in the Basketball League last season, has completed a new acquisition that has a track record that surpasses most other players in the league.

They have recruited the 30-year-old guard Toure 'Murry, who in the 2013-14 season played in the NBA and New York Knicks.

- He is good both offensively and defensively, is a sharp goal scorer and has the experience that we have strived to gain.

It will be very fun to work with him, says Luleå's coach Peter Öqvist in a press release.

"My childhood dream"

30-year-old Murry made 51 appearances during the NBA season, averaging 7.3 minutes of playing time and 2.75 points.

- It is a fantastic opportunity.

I look forward to meeting my new teammates and competing for the championship title with them, says Murry, who recalls his NBA year with joy:

- The NBA was always my childhood dream.

Getting the chance to play for a club as old as the New York Knicks was fantastic.

It is a time in my life that I appreciate very much and it has made me see basketball in a different way.

Comes closest from Benfica

Murry is only the third player in the Luleå club's history to have NBA credentials when he joined the club.

The former are Carl Thomas and Keith McLeod.

Most recently, Murry played for Portuguese Benfica.

He has also played in Italy and Turkey, among others.
