The nonsense continues in New York.

Novak Djokovic has just been disqualified from the US Open in his quarter-final against Carreno-Busta for unintentionally hitting a linesman.

Djokovic had just lost his serve and was led 6-5 by Pablo Carreno when, going to sit down, he struck without looking at the ball that was left in his hand towards the baseline.

The ball hit a linesman violently who let out a cry and fell, visibly hit in the neck.

This is obviously unintentional, but punished by the regulation of an immediate disqualification.

What the commissioners did in the wake.

Despite several minutes of discussions during which Novak Djokovic tried to plead his case, Novak Djokovic will therefore not win a new Grand-Slam.
