Tottenham's Son Heung-min shared his thoughts on winning the 2019-2020 English Premier League EPL'Goal of the Year'.



In a video released on the EPL website, Son Heung-min said, "I was lucky enough to score a beautiful goal in a crowded stadium, but my parents were also there. (Scoring a goal) was unbelievable."



Son Heung-min scored'Wonder Goal' in the 32nd minute in the home game of the 16th round of the regular league against Burnley last December.



After running alone about 70 meters from Tottenham's camp, defeating six Burnley players, he shook the net with a right-footed shot near the front of the penalty area.



This goal was selected as'Birdweiser's December Goal' by EPL, followed by'Goal of the Year' by the British public broadcaster BBC, and'Goal of the Year' by the British sports media'The Athletic'.



Son Heung-min recalled the time, saying, "At first, I tried to dribbling slowly. Only after the last defender was beaten and the ball shook the net, I thought, "Oh, it's a goal."



"I am proud and happy to have scored this goal in the home stadium," he added. "It's still amazing to look back on the video of the game or the score. It was a great honor."
