It is noteworthy that the Football Association had adopted in 2017, with the approval of the General Assembly of the Football Association, a mechanism to collect 2% of the value of professional players' contracts for the development of the game through the proceeds of this decision.

For his part, the former international player and legal advisor Salem Hadid confirmed that there are clubs that spend lavishly sums of money without any reference, stressing that he would have stood in the side of the clubs demanding the cancellation of the 2% that the Football Association obtains from the value of the players' contracts, if these were Clubs reasonably spend the money they receive as financial support.

Khaled Obeid added: "If these clubs depend on their own resources and do not receive government support, its request from the Football Association to cancel this percentage obtained would be logical, but they receive government support, and their sponsorship contracts are not affected."

Khaled Obaid indicated that there are clubs that want to use the Corona pandemic to gain sympathy with it, pointing out that “despite the (Corona) pandemic, the spending of some clubs on players' deals has not changed, so the exchange, if not more, has not retreated.”
