Equal pay for Brazilian players

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced that it has decided to impose equal pay for male and female national team players.

"The federation decided to equalize the value of the prize money and the allowances between the football players, which means that the female players will get the same as the players earn," said Federation President Rogerio Capuclio.

Thanks to these measures, players invited to the women's team will earn the same amounts as Neymar or other stars in the men's team at each gathering, including match bonuses.

The Australian Football Association was the first to promote equal pay for men and women in November 2019.

In May, the American world champions lost in court, after a judge rejected their request for equal pay with players.
