Bayern Munich announces the return of Spaniard Odriozola to Real Madrid

Spaniard Alvaro Odriozola became the latest player to leave for Bayern Munich, after Brazilian Felipe Coutinho preceded him.

The German club announced today that the defender will return to Real Madrid after the end of his loan period to Bayern Munich.

Odriozola, who holds the right-back position, had asked Bayern Munich coach Hanzi Flick during the last winter transfer period.

Odriozola has only participated in five matches with the German team, including three in the German League (Bundesliga), one match in the German Cup and the other in the European Champions League.

"I would like to thank Alvaro, as a team, we have become champions of the League and Cup in Germany, and we also won the Champions League with the participation of all the players, and Alvaro was part of that success," said Hassan Salih Hamidic, director of football, in a statement to the club.

Bayern Munich announced last Tuesday the departure of Brazilian Coutinho, who returned to Barcelona after spending a loan period, while the Bavarian club will now make a decision about Ivan Persic on loan from Inter Milan.
