On Monday, Boca Juniors canceled all training sessions, as a corona eruption had occurred at the training facility 72 hours earlier.

In a statement, the club says that ten of the infected players have mild symptoms, and that the other eight have no symptoms at all.

On September 17, Boca Juniors is scheduled to face the Paraguayan Libertad in the Copa Libertadores.

Whether that match will be over is unclear.

- It is very difficult to play under these conditions, football is a contact sport, says Argentine President Alberto Fernandez in an interview with TN Television.

- We must be very careful.

It's a pandemic after all.

Argentina is one of the countries hardest hit by corona in South America, with over 400,000 infected and more than 9,000 deaths.

The players in Boca Juniors are now sitting in a so-called isolation bubble at the training facility, without contact with the outside world.
