The former coach of the first team of Al Dhaid club, Muhammad Al-Tunaiji, expressed his surprise at the Arab Gulf League clubs ’reluctance to contract with citizen coaches who are able to qualify players technically, physically and mentally, and make teams that compete strongly for achievements, such as Mahdi Ali and Dr. Abdullah Al-Misfer, pointing out That the list goes on of the trainers who deserve to be given the appropriate opportunities, including Ali Ibrahim and Walid Obaid, as he put it.

Al-Tunaiji told Emirates Today that “the return of the citizen coach to the forefront should not be a decision only, but rather requires implementation in order for his return to the technical area to be effective and positive, taking into account the restoration of the positive atmosphere that existed in previous periods, and it is one of the important matters that It is necessary for the citizen coach to take his role distinctively. ”

Abdulaziz Al-Anbari is considered the only citizen coach in the Arab Gulf League, as he leads the Sharjah team in the new season, after he outperformed all foreign coaches in the last edition of the tournament, and won the title with "the King", at a time when a large number of national coaches emerged, led by Mahdi Ali , Who achieved great successes with the former national teams, and Abdullah Misfer, one of the most prominent national coaches in the country, who previously trained the Jordanian national team.

Al-Tunaiji attributed the reluctance of some club administrations to contract with the national coaches and their support and encouragement in the advanced Sunni teams (17 and 19 years) to the decline of football talents in the country during the last period, stressing that "the return of the citizen coach will pave the way for the emergence of an elite group of stars", explaining that "This does not detract from the technical value of a foreign coach, but the need for a citizen coach in specific places has become a requirement that must be imposed by ethical societal behaviors, without which a talented athletic generation cannot be created."

He added, "There is an urgent need for officials in the Football Association and the General Sports Authority to study the reasons that led to the national coach losing his coaching role and limiting his technical position, before he returns to receiving team training, and he may lose them as quickly as possible."

He continued: “The citizen coach needs the administrations of some clubs to abandon the concept of (coach to supplement the number), so that the citizen coach becomes more desirable than he is an emergency coach, and that previous experiences did not reveal a citizen coach who failed with his club. On the contrary, we succeeded in Most of the tasks that have been entrusted to us ».

He continued: "We will contribute to a study of the causes and obstacles that led to the loss of the privilege of having a national coach in clubs at the lowest estimate, and the national teams for the age groups are a necessity to support, because they will put points on the letters, and give the citizen coach the confidence that he will be able to return to training with high morale."

He added: “There is a need for a regulation to be adopted in the General Assembly of the Football Association, which requires the appointment of a national coach for clubs of the first and second degrees, that he has a significant role in professional clubs, and that this regulation is discussed with the sports councils, and there is nothing wrong with taking sufficient time to study it so that it performs Expected role of them ».

He concluded: “The ball will be in the club’s court, whether it is first class or professional, to give him the opportunity and time, to provide the necessary supplies, and to give him a sufficient dose for success and continuity, coinciding with the keenness of the clubs’ administrations in developing and succeeding the coach by giving him confidence and support, and to give up on their own concept. (The citizen coach is unable to succeed) ».
