Emma-Nellie Örtendahl started the European Championship season in the best way when she won in Hungary, after three straight heat victories.

Despite some machine problems along the way.

- After the second heat, my water box broke, a muffler that is located at the beginning of the exhaust pipe, it cracked in the welding but could take me to the finish. So we had to change it to Sunday's racing, and it worked as it should and I took home the victory even then, says Emma-Nellie Örtendahl.

Competed on a new machine

The European Championship competition is one of the few competitions she has been able to run this season due to the pandemic.

- It was a very educational competition, the first was in after the Swedish Championships in Kumla, and this European Championships became the first major championship with my new machine, Kommander GP1. My driving came loose more and more, and I feel safer before next weekend's racing. It feels good, because it has been a stressful moment since I got the machine home, says Emma-Nellie Örtendahl.

- It feels good to get a good form message with good resistance after such a long break due to Corona, she continues.

Leader EM

It is also noteworthy from the Hungarian GP that Janina Johansson was the second best Swede, where she came before both Jonna and Sofie Borgström.

The next European Championship competition will be run in Poland at the beginning of September, and it will also be the last competition and final of the championship. Emma-Nellie Örtendahl leads the European Championships eleven points ahead of Jasmiin Upraus from Estonia.
