This time it was not a question of seum. A Belgian team registered for the Mondial de pétanque La Marseillaise was attacked by a triplet tricolor, Sunday at Parc Borély. While the Belgian trio thought they had won 13 to 1, they let the losers of the day give the final result to the scoreboard.

Problem, the Marseillais tell the referee that they won the match 13-1. "We trusted them," said one of the three friends to our colleagues from France 3 PACA, evoking opponents "with red eyes, drunk". The two teams not being able to agree, the referee then decides to disqualify them.

The Belgians will file a complaint

But when you leave the premises, things turn sour. "When they left, they threatened us, they started running after us with their balls, tells a friend of the trio to France 3. They hit them for three minutes, we shouted for help, but no one moved" . “They're sick guys, they got two on me. It was bullfight… ”, engages one of the victims of the day.

The helpers finally arrived on the scene about twenty minutes after the clashes. The organizers of the competition announced that "measures" would be taken while, for its part, the Belgian triplet should bring the case to justice. It will then no longer really be a question of the score of the match.
