Cross-country skier Linn Svahn broke through with a bang last season. She won the sprint in Davos in December - her second World Cup competition in her career.

The 20-year-old followed up the landslide victory with two more individual wins and a third place.

When the season would then end in Canada, Svahn led the sprint cup and had a chance to take it home. But due to the corona outbreak, the competitions were canceled - and Svahn won without having to compete any more.

- It feels like I am a worthy winner, but it is not in a dignified way that I won, as it was now, she then told SVT Sport.

The winner of the individual cross-country skiing cups is usually rewarded with a medal and a glass ball. But since the final competitions were canceled, there was never an award ceremony.

Svahn therefore had to wait for the bullet - which has now found its way all the way from Canada to Trollhättan.

Last night, Svahn and Jonna Sundling, who finished second in the sprint cup, were surprised by their teammates.

- I longed for it very much in the beginning but now I had almost forgotten that it existed because now they have aimed for new goals. But it feels good to hold on to it now, says Svahn.

The cross-country national team is currently on site in Trollhättan for the roller ski competition Alliansloppet, which is broadcast on SVT.
