When the rest of the team went home to Östersund, 24-year-old midfielder Rewan Amin stopped in Stockholm to be examined by a doctor on Monday.

The result was the worst imaginable. The X-rays showed a cruciate ligament injury in the knee.

- I ran after the ball and tried to catch up with the Elfsborg player, but when I changed the direction of running I felt that it hit my knee and I collapsed. I immediately felt that something serious had happened to my knee, says Rewan Amin to Östersund's website.

Surgery and rehab

Now surgery and a long rehabilitation period awaits Rewan Amin. On the club's website, he still tries to keep his spirits up.

- It is clear that it feels hard with this knee injury, but I will fight and will work hard to come back as soon as I can.

The former Dalkurd player is in his third season in Östersunds FK.
