Athletes called on officials of sports television channels in the country to work on major media coverage of the preliminary round competitions for the President's Cup and the First Division League by transmitting all matches for the next season, in order to compensate for the absence of the public from the stands due to the Corona virus.

For his part, Deputy Executive Director of Dubai Media Incorporated, Rashid Amiri revealed to "Emirates Today" that his side is aware of the urgent need to transfer the largest available number of matches next season for the First Division League and the preliminary round of the President's Cup, in line with adherence to the precautionary measures against the Coronavirus (Covid) -19), in a way that contributes to the success of these tournaments and securing media coverage of the competitions, and that this has been discussed with the concerned authorities, and work is underway on a plan that serves the best media coverage to contribute to the service of the sports family interested in first-class matches.

Amiri said: “We met with Sharjah sports channels and Abu Dhabi sports channels and discussed direct transmission of the largest number of matches, and we are studying together to support television broadcasting with an analytical program, and work is underway under accreditation for the success of the required media coverage, and the details will be announced in a timely manner,” affirming that the Dubai Foundation The media is keen to provide the best services to support the sports process.

Overcome the difficulties

In their interview with Emirates Today, the athletes called on the Football Association to overcome difficulties in front of the transport channels in order to be able to play its role in broadcasting matches, and to provide this important service to the public who is waiting to see their favorite team.
