Alex Norén did not really manage to repeat his fine third round of 64 strokes. Instead, he finished on 68 strokes, after five birdies and two bogeys.

In total it was -15, and a shared eighth place. Up to the victorious Dustin Johnson, who played phenomenally this weekend, it was a full 15 strokes. With a total of 30 strokes under par, he played in a league of his own and was eleven strokes ahead of second place, compatriot Harris English.

Very few mistakes

The victory means that Johnson steps up as number one in the world rankings, where he defeats the Spaniard John Rahm.

- I am of course happy with the placement (in the world rankings) and my game is very good right now. I played stably all four days, said Dustin Johnson after the victory.

When asked at the digital press conference if he made any mistakes throughout the week, he burst into a big smile.

- I missed a few short putts, but otherwise I did everything pretty well.

Looking for the first

The victory means that Dustin Johnson leads the Fedex ranking, where there are now two competitions left in the playoffs, including the tour final in Atlanta September 4-7.

- For me, it is something I have never won, but I have been close to winning a few times. This is something I really want on my resume when I finish golf. It's a great title, it means a lot to everyone here, and definitely to me. I really want to be a Fedex champion, says Johnson.
