A member of the LOU Rugby team tested positive for covid-19 on Saturday, after having felt some symptoms the day after the preparation match against Racing 92. This is what the Lyon club said on Monday in a report. press release, specifying that he did not want to reveal the identity of the person "out of respect for medical confidentiality".

"If he is doing well and there is no need to worry about his state of health, he remains today in a fortnight", he continues.

Negative tests three days before

Thursday, less than 48 hours before the preparation match between Racing 92 and Lou, all the staff, players, as well as administrative employees had been tested. No case had then been identified. Tests were carried out again on Monday.

From Tuesday, the club indicated that it wanted "to return to phase 2 of the health protocol of the National Rugby League". Namely the setting up of individual sessions or in small groups, in order to follow all the recommendations "and especially to preserve the health of each one".

Three cases had already been detected within the club at the beginning of August.
