Igor Kornado, the playmaker of the Sharjah football team, confirmed that he is striving to restore his readiness for the new season 2020-2021, after the injury he suffered last season, and as a result of which he underwent surgery, which prevented him from appearing at his true level, which he led the Sharjah team to win the Arab Gulf League title For the season before last.

He told "Emirates Today": "I am currently working well until I reach the required 100% readiness."

Igor talked about his team's match against Ajman at the opening of the friendly quadruple tournament matches, indicating that they were certainly not willing as players to lose to Ajman in the first match 1-2. He said, "Such matches are a good opportunity to prepare well for the new season, in addition to being an opportunity for the coach to learn about the team and the levels of new elements in the team, and to give the largest number of players the opportunity to play."
