Elfsborg's Rami Kaib received his second yellow card at the beginning of the second half and Boråslaget had to play almost half the match with one man less. The longer the match suffered towards the end, the more Östersund took over the game.
With 72 minutes played, Isak Ssewankambo of Blair Turgott fell dramatically just outside the penalty area.

An important three-pointer for Östersund in the middle of the Allsvenskan table.

Near own goal of Östersund

The first half was offered in an open game where Östersund had the best goal chance. Blair Turgott hit that from around 35 yards out and Isak Ssewankambo and couldn't do anything about, dipping and swerving, it did him all ends up.

- The ball came quickly and I did not have time to react, Ssewankambo told Dplay during the break.

Even though it was the half's best goal chance, it was Elfsborg who was closest to a goal. Jesper Karlsson hit a post that Östersundsbacken Ronald Mukiibi nodded in his own crossbar.

Elfsborg moved up the positions in the final minutes in the hunt for a draw - but it failed without any really dangerous goal chance.

With Malmö FF's victory against Falkenberg, Elfsborg is now second, seven points behind Skånelaget.
