PSG, "a very good team playing a very good game"

PSG stands out as the heart club of Teddy Riner, himself a member of the judo section of PSG. “I was trained there and I fell in love with this club when I saw Ronaldinho play for the first time. It was something phenomenal!” He recalls. When he imagines the Parisian club winning on Sunday night, Teddy Riner has stars in his eyes. "We would like to have this little star on the jersey, it would be great for everyone", he imagines.

And this victory, the double Olympic judo champion wants to believe it. Even if he concedes that "Bayern is a great team", he reminds that PSG is a "very good team which plays a very good game and which is homogeneous". PSG "happens to be in small spaces and that can make the difference," he said.

"Our bench is ambitious, it is hungry"

For Teddy Riner, the strength of the Parisian team does not only lie in strong duos like Mbappé and Neymar. "It's a crazy team! Di María does a sick job. But we have a great bench too," he remarks. "The Bayern bench is scary but ours is ambitious, it's hungry. When you confront the two, it can hurt a lot."

A prognosis? “100 to 0!” Jokes the judoka. In reality, Teddy Riner leans more for a "very close match". "Either it's going to be 1-0 or an avalanche of goals, or it's going to be extra time and penalties," he said. "We have two teams who are hungry, who want to mark the history of their club, and who have very good numbers", summarizes the double gold medalist.
