Manchester United's team captain was arrested by police after he hit a police officer who intervened in a fight between two tourist groups. Maguire was taken away in handcuffs with his brother and a friend. The trio is also said to have quarreled and beaten police officers at the police station and tried to bribe themselves free.

"Maguire denies all allegations," Constantinos Darivas said ahead of Saturday's hearing.
