The Jordanian League suspended 14 days after 5 players were infected with Corona

The Jordan Football Association decided to suspend the local league and all tournaments and technical and administrative activities, starting from Friday for a period of 14 days, based on the matrix of procedures in the emergency plan, which was activated last Wednesday evening with the high risk index, to maintain the main priority of the federation, which is the safety of the corners of the game and the local community.
In a statement on its website, the Football Association confirmed that the emergency committee held a meeting after it was confirmed that five players from the Al-Faisali club were infected with the Corona virus, and the health measures that followed, isolating the infected and all their teammates including players, coaches and administrators, in addition to subjecting all those in contact with them from Other teams and organizational cadres, for urgent medical examinations, in accordance with the followed health protocol.
The executive body of the federation, during its last meeting, directed the activation of the emergency committee headed by Prince Ali, the president of the federation, to closely follow the developments of the epidemic situation in the Kingdom, and to ensure that all necessary measures and procedures are available, for the safety of all the corners of the game and the local community, before Prince Ali instructs to activate an emergency plan To deal with developments, and to rely on clear indicators of risk levels, to take precautionary measures, embodying the public safety priority.
In accordance with isolation, quarantine and regular medical examination procedures for many players and cadres working in the professional league, and with the activation of the emergency plan, it was decided to suspend league competitions and all football activities for a period of two weeks, including all other tournaments, administrative activities and training courses in the Federation, while continuing to follow the developments of the epidemiological situation in Kingdom and assessing the extent of its impact on the course of the league competitions and other football activities before the suspension period ends.
"The Federation affirms its continuing work and direct coordination with the Center for Security and Crisis Management and all relevant official authorities, and its continued follow-up to the safety of the injured players and cadres of participating clubs and providing them with all forms of necessary medical care, until their complete recovery and their return to the stadiums, as it renews at the same time his great confidence and pride," the statement said. At the Ministry of Health and its competent cadres, in comparison to its hard work and dedicated effort to address the pandemic, and to secure public safety for our dear country and its dear children.
Informed sources confirmed to Agence France-Presse that five players in the ranks of Al-Faisaly, the third league team, were infected with the new Corona virus.
The sources, who refused to be identified, explained that the five players are: Bara Mari, Salem Al-Ajalin, Youssef Rawashdeh, Ihssan Haddad and Senegalese Dominic, adding that the players "were subjected to a period of isolation in a hospital, and under the supervision of the Epidemiology Committee, examinations were conducted for a wide range of the staff of Al-Faisali club today, Thursday." .
It is noteworthy that the league matches were resumed on the third of this month and the second, third and fourth stages were held, while the fifth phase will not be completed due to the repercussions of the injury to Al-Faisaly players.
It is noteworthy that the Jordanian Federation had decided, last Sunday, to postpone three matches for the Ramtha team with each of Al-Wehdat, Jordan Youth and Aqaba Youth due to the isolation of the city of Ramtha and the quarantine of its team in a hotel in the Jordanian capital Amman for a period of 14 days.
