Stefano Vecchia: "Do not think the celebration was excessive"

It was after the loss against Sirius on August 17 that it broke for Helsingborg's Andreas Granqvist.

"Fucking clowns". Come on, damn it! You can celebrate in the locker room, can't you? ”Granqvist shouted, carrying the Sirius players celebrated in the aisle.

Sirius Stefano Vecchia, who has had great success this season, did not notice Granqvist's outburst.

The 25-year-old does not think that the Sirius players did anything wrong.

- We were probably a little happy that we had decided the match late and so we celebrated a little, but I personally do not think that the celebration was so excessive. We were happy after a match but it was absolutely not a bad thing.

Vecchia has had major problems with injuries but is now back in earnest. With his eight goals and five assists, he has shown the way for Sirius, which is in a nice sixth place in the Allsvenskan table.

- It's fun that people appreciate what I do, but for me it's about helping the team and winning matches, he says.

Why is it going so well for you right now?

- I think I have made sure to enjoy and appreciate football. I live in the present and am happy and grateful that I get to play football. Since then, the team has also worked very well and then you also work yourself as a player.

The contract with Sirius expires after the season and what happens after that is currently unclear.

- Right now I have no answer to that. I focus on football and the game in Sirius and then we'll see what happens.
