Colorado has shown, to say the least, good form in the round of 16. In the fifth game against Arizona, it was 3-0 after the first period, which had become 6-0 when it was time for the next period break. After that, the third period became a less goal-rich story, where both teams each got a puck before the final signal sounded.

For the second game in a row, Colorado defeats its opponent 7-1. It is the first time in NHL history that a team wins the two final games in a playoff series with six goals.

André Burakovsky played up to two goals, and Gabriel Landeskog was also noted for two assists.

- It was even at the beginning of the match series, but we obviously managed to find ways to get more shots on goal, Landeskog says at the digital press conference after the match.

"Work ethic first"

Nazem Kadri and Nathan MacKinnon both scored two goals. This is the second match in a row that Kadri is a multi-goal scorer, something that only five other players in the club's history (including Peter Forsberg) have succeeded in the playoffs.

The victory means 4-1 in the match series in the best of seven matches, and Colorado is on to the quarterfinals with good confidence:

- (The level of self-confidence) is high, it has always been, and if we play and keep our identity, we can compete with the best. We have done a good job, work ethic comes first, and it obviously turns out, says Kadri in a TV interview immediately after the match.

Landeskog says that there will be no big celebration, but that there will be a few days rest before the quarter-final series.

- We are ready to take the next step. We are a group where most have been in the team for three or four years, which has grown and gone through difficulties together

Boston is also on to the quarterfinals of the Stanley Cup after 2-1 against Carolina, the team's fourth straight victory.

The quarterfinals between Montreal and Philadelphia live on after Montreal's 5-3 victory. Montreal thus reduces the match series to 3-2.
