Badr Ahmed, a member of Sharjah Football Company, contracting director, confirmed that the "friendly quarter-tournament organized by the club with the participation of Kalba, Ajman and Khor Fakkan is important for the team's preparations for the new season."

He stressed that "Sharjah's main goal is to preserve the title of champion of the Arab Gulf League."

He told "Emirates Today": The tournament is a good opportunity to prepare for the new season, as the AFC Champions League participation awaits us, in addition to local challenges.

He continued, "We sought through recent contracts to cover all centers that need strengthening in the team."

He pointed out that after the end of the friendly tournament, Sharjah plans to play a friendly match or two, according to the vision of the technical staff, before its first match in the new season of the league against Fujairah.

And whether the club closed the contract file, he said: In the event that the coach of the team, Abdulaziz Al-Anbari, wants to include any new player, the management of the football company is ready to fulfill his desire. Regarding the players' readiness, he said that, with the exception of Hassan Saleh and Marcos, two million people who recently underwent surgery, there are no other injuries in the team.

Sharjah recently strengthened its ranks with a number of distinguished players, including Khalid Bawazir, Khaled Al Dhanhani and Hatta Darwish Mohammed goalkeeper. On the other hand, despite the Sharjah team losing its match the day before yesterday in front of Ajman with two goals to one goal in the opening of the tournament matches, the team benefited greatly from this experience, as it was the first for it since the sports activity stopped on March 15th.
