Tomsk extreme sportsman set a record for underwater press

Vitaly Vivchar, an instructor at the Tomsk Center for Social Initiatives, has broken the Guinness record for the underwater barbell press. An exotic competition took place on the Lebyazhye lake in the village of Pobeda, Tomsk region. The extreme sank to the bottom, where a horizontal bar with a bench was installed, and, while holding his breath, squeezed a barbell weighing 50 kg from his chest 76 times.

Tomic improved the result of the previous record holder American Greg Wittstock, shown in 2019, by 14 times at once.

The implementation of the record was monitored by specialists and an independent observer. After filling out the necessary documentation, information about Vivchar's achievement, along with the evidence base, will be sent to the Guinness Book of Records.

“It was very exciting, because the weather ruined everything: the water became cold and disgusting. The second point that confused me very much was that I was very worried. My pulse was at rest 108 beats per minute! I have been tuning in for a very long time, ”the man admitted.

As can be understood from the Instagram of the man who calls himself a leading programmer, photographer and walrus, he carefully prepared for his speech. Vivchar noted that in about a month of training underwater, he improved his own result by 11 times. As the athlete specified, he managed to hold his breath for the longest time for 3 minutes 15 seconds. But in water everything happens differently.

400-pound barbell nearly crushed a powerlifter

Another extreme sports lover had to go to the hospital for a long time: the famous powerlifter Alexander Sedykh was seriously injured at the WRPF European Open Championship in Dolgoprudny. Participants competed in weightlifting, bench press, powerlifting, folk bench press, deadlift, strict biceps curls, streetlifting, and armlifting.

At first, the athlete performing in the category up to 125 kg successfully coped with the weight of 380 kg, setting a personal record and a record in Europe and the world. The attempt to storm 400 kg was fatal. While squatting, Sedykh seriously injured his knees and was nearly crushed by the barbell. He was urgently taken to the hospital in an ambulance, where he was operated on for six hours.

“My dream was to sit down 400 kg, but today those 400 were stronger than me! This is how you live for yourself, you live and hop, already in a wheelchair! Both quadriceps muscles were sutured, the left knee was collected piece by piece. The forecasts are as follows - lie down for two months, do not move your legs. Then he will learn to walk again and recover, ”the victim himself told about his condition.

From his Instagram it is clear that Sedykh does not lose optimism even in the current situation and is already glad that the attempt to lift 400 kg did not lead to more sad consequences.

The departure of Manchester City from the Champions League was explained by the curse of the shamans

One of the richest football clubs in the world, Manchester City, was eliminated from the Champions League for the third time in a row in the quarterfinals. This time, Josep Guardiola's charges failed to pass the French Lyon. The publication Goal.com, which has 1.5 million subscribers on Twitter, either jokingly or seriously linked another failure of the "townspeople" with the "curse of African shamans."

🗣 Yaya Toure's agent in 2018: "I am sure that many African shamans will not let Guardiola win the Champions League in future.

" It will be like an African curse on Guardiola. Time will tell if I am right or not. "

- Goal (@goal) August 15, 2020

This story begins in 2018, when the club unwillingly left the club, who played for City for eight years, Yaya Toure. The Ivorian’s departure was preceded by a conflict between his agent Dmitry Selyuk and Guardiola. Commenting on the loss to Liverpool then, Seluk told Sport24 the following: “God sees everything. As a man did with Yaya, the legend of the club, who, under various pretexts, did not give the opportunity to enter the field ... He turned the whole of Africa against himself. I am sure that many African shamans will not let Guardiola win the Champions League in the future. It will be like an African curse for Pep. Life will show whether I am right or not. "

In addition, Selyuk posted on Twitter an interesting picture: it depicts Toure as a shaman using a voodoo doll symbolizing Guardiola. The agent refused new comments in hot pursuit, urging everyone to live together.

The situation is very reminiscent of the so-called curse of Bela Guttmann - the Hungarian coach of Benfica, who was offended by the management's refusal to raise his salary after winning the European Cup for the second time in 1962, and left the club, stating that within the next century Lisbon would not be able to win one European Cup.

Ayrton parodied Urunov

Oston Urunov, who recently joined Spartak from Ufa, was criticized for posting on Instagram. The 19-year-old Uzbek, who has not yet played a single minute for his new club, posted a snapshot with packages of elite brands shortly after signing the contract. After a flurry of negative comments, Urunov deleted his post. However, Spartak fans and veterans continued to express their displeasure. One of them, Eduard More, noted that it was rather stupid for a young guy, who was “taken almost out of a pull,” to immediately turn fans against himself.

In turn, the general director of "Spartak" Shamil Gazizov, who is considered the initiator of the purchase of Urunov, said that he had laughed at the player's photo. In his opinion, in this way the midfielder "gains fame". And the defender of the red and white Ayrton did parody his inexperienced partner. The Brazilian was photographed in the Spartak locker room, surrounded by a heap of expensive bags and with fans of five thousandth bills in his hands. At first, some users did not understand the joke, starting to criticize Ayrton himself for an excessive display of luxury. Those who found themselves in the subject appreciated the legionnaire's humor.

Dynamo changed the club emblem

Dynamo Moscow has carried out a large-scale rebranding. In addition to the traditional white and blue colors of the team, auxiliary colors were added - gold and graphite. As explained on the club's official website, the first of them, the color of the two stars decorating the team's emblem, is also significant for Moscow, famous for its domes. The second is a reference to the historical color of the goalkeeper's uniform, and is a sign to "every Muscovite on the paving stones of Red Square, pavements, roads."

Dynamo Moscow Football Club is proud to present a new communication campaign.

We are a great story.
We are a legendary stadium.
We are the best city in the world.
We are movement. And in motion - our strength! #PowerInMovementpic.twitter.com / eLaHUEMf9u

- FC Dynamo Moscow (@FCDM_official) August 15, 2020

“The only official emblem of the club is letter D with two gold stars above it (previously this sign and the logo with a rhombus were used in different cases). At the same time, the letter itself returned to a more elegant style, which is associated with the main victories in the history of the club, "added the club.

Also, new font lines and text signs were developed, inheriting the historical inscription "Dynamo" at the stadium in Petrovsky Park.
