REPORTAGE

After a decade of disillusionment, PSG fans were in heaven on Tuesday night after their favorite club qualified for the Champions League final against Leipzig. And if the unprecedented format of the "Final 8" imposed, as for all matches, a strict camera, due to the coronavirus epidemic, many supporters had made the trip to Lisbon to encourage Kylian Mbappé's teammates. And after the match, a thousand of them had stayed past midnight in front of the entrance to the players' hotel, to savor with them.

"Finally! We've been waiting for this for a long time", savored a fan at the microphone of Europe 1, "we are already savoring. It feels good to be in the final for the first time". "The atmosphere, it's there! Me, I've been waiting for this since we were very young," said another, before assuring: "I think we can win it."

"Two French clubs in the final, that would be great"

It now remains for its supporters to know the identity of their opponent in the final, while Bayern Munich and Olympique Lyonnais must face each other on Wednesday evening. And among the fans, opinions differ, with on the one hand those who want a Franco-French final, and those who prefer Bayern, in particular for reasons of prestige. “Lyon-Paris, that would be extraordinary. Two French clubs in the final of the Champions League, that would be great,” said a supporter of the first option.

Nathan, he would prefer to face the Munich, but would not be against a little help from the Lyonnais, and thus hopes "for a Paris-Bayern final with two-three reds for the Bayern players, and two-three injuries. Lyonnais start the work, that we finish it for them, that would be perfect, and it is us who reap the fruits at the end ".

But players and supporters meet on one point. Regardless of the opponent, the ambition is now to go to the end.
