It was to take place on Saturday afternoon. The meeting between the Girondins de Bordeaux and FC Nantes has finally been brought forward to Friday evening (7 p.m.) and will therefore constitute the opening match of the 2020-202 Ligue 1 championship, the two clubs announced on Tuesday. A decision taken by the League and the new broadcaster (Mediapro) after the postponement of the match initially planned between Marseille and Saint-Etienne.

The poster between OM and the Greens was postponed to mid-September by the Professional Football League on Tuesday, after the Covid-19 contamination of four Marseille players. FC Nantes itself has no less than seven players positive for coronavirus since July but the postponement of Friday's match is not currently being considered, because the contamination of the players concerned is a little older. They are nevertheless all fixed prices for this first day.

🚨📆 Following the postponement of #OMASS, the match between the @girondins and the @FCNantes has been brought forward to Friday August 21, 2020 at 7 p.m.
