The 21-year-old HV striker scored a total of 50 points in 38 games last season, and in the national team she has lived for a long time, and was selected to the season's first national team squad.

But this year's season started in the worst possible way. After just over a week on ice, she twisted the anterior cruciate ligament so that it came off.

- I went towards the goal and got stuck in the ice and my knee bent backwards, she says.

She was helped off the track and into the locker room. But then she did not think it was so serious.

- No, I did not immediately know what had happened because I had so much adrenaline.

Great support

The accident happened a week ago and the first days were heavy. This is the first time Hanna has suffered such a serious injury.

- At first it felt completely useless and boring, she says. But there have been so many nice people who have heard of it. Family and friends have supported. So after a few days I started to adjust to rehab.

- HV has helped me a lot and I quickly got an examination and I will soon see the doctor who will operate on me. I hope it will happen soon.

Hanna Olsson is, after all, grateful for the quick help she received. In corona times, it is not possible to know whether there will be long waiting times. After the operation, a long rehabilitation applies.

- I will work hard and behave in an exemplary manner.

Hanna Olsson believes that what made her a successful hockey player can also help her come back.

- There will certainly be periods when everything feels difficult. But I have always been a real competitive person, so I see it as a challenge.
