The decision to expedite the end of the camp came following the decision of the Asian Football Confederation to postpone the dates of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and Asia 2023 until next year, which were previously scheduled for next October and November.
The external camp, the first for the new Colombian coach Jose Luis Pinto, was to continue until the 23rd of this month, according to the previous program set by the technical staff, and approved by the National Teams Committee of the Football Association.
The decision of the AFC, supported by the International Football Association (FIFA), was a surprise to the local federations, including the Emirates Federation, as they had set their plans in advance based on previous dates, to be postponed again until next year, and the AFC did not set new dates, leaving the matter open. until a further notice.
It is noteworthy that this is the third postponement of the second leg qualifiers, as it was scheduled to resume last March, then June, and then October, and now it has moved to an unknown date.
The team had launched the Serbia camp on the sixth of this month, and it was scheduled to play two friendly matches within the framework of the technical staff's keenness to bring the players to the required readiness stage, especially after a long period of stopping playing and playing official matches, which continued since March 15th.
The Serbia camp concluded with a friendly match against the local Indija team, which ended with the victory of "Al-Abyad", with three goals to two goals.
