Last season, Tampa Bay was the best in the NHL's regular season and first seed before the playoffs.

But that did not help when the playoffs kicked off, and for the first time in NHL history, the regular season winners lost 0-4 in the quarterfinals.

3-1 in matches

The team they went out against was Columbus, the same team they now face in this year's round of 16.

Now they are close to revenge. They won last night the fourth round of 16 with 2-1, and now have 3-1 in matches. They thus have a full three chances to take the fourth victory that would mean a quarter-final place.

Shattenkirk's shot was aimed at goal

The 2-0 goal, which proved to be decisive in the match, came just over four minutes into the second period. Kevin Shattenkirk fired a shot from the blue line, which Yanni Gourde controlled in goal past Joona's Korpisalo in Columbus' goal.

Columbus pressed on in the final stages of the match, but an expulsion due to too many players on the ice with only 1.07 left to play ruined the team's chances of reaching an equalizer.
